Hide Your Subscribers on YouTube

A channel’s YouTube subscriber count is an indication of how popular a channel is.

It is one of the routes to attracting more YouTube visitors to subscribe to your channel.

But then you may have noticed that some channels do not reveal their subscriber count.

If you’re thinking of hiding your subscribers on YouTube, too, here’s some food for thought.

Is it Good to Hide Subscribers on YouTube?

No, it’s not advisable to hide your YouTube channel subscriber count.

A low subscriber count may give a visitor the impression that your channel isn’t ‘good enough to attract more visitors.

This isn’t always true. Just because your channel has a low number of subscribers, it doesn’t mean people will not watch your videos and subscribe to your channel.

Low Subscriber Count Doesn’t Mean Low Quality

A low subscriber count isn’t an indication of the quality of your channel. We’ve all come across a quality video and when we check the channel we find that it has a 2 or 3-digit subscriber count.

Sometimes in the comments, we have someone saying, “This channel deserves more subscribers.”

Think of it this way. You have a low subscriber count. Someone comes to a channel and is impressed by the content you’ve put out.

He immediately subscribes and may even share your channel with others. This may attract more views and even subscriptions.

So, if you have an active channel that is relatively new there’s no reason to be embarrassed over your low subscriber count. Be embarrassed only if you’re not publishing quality videos.

High Subscriber Count Doesn’t Necessary Reflect Channel Quality

Also, a channel with a high subscriber count doesn’t mean all the subscribers will be watching the videos you publish. Some people just subscribe to a channel and forget all about it.

Those who have a high subscriber count, running into hundreds of thousands, may not have obtained these numbers organically.

It could have been done through aggressive promotion, ads, contests, or giveaways.

Anyway, if you feel uncomfortable about your low subscriber count, you can hide it until you get an impressive number.

The good news is you can do it over your desktop computer or your mobile device.

So, here’s how to hide your subscribers on YouTube.

Steps to Hide Your Subscribers on YouTube

Here’s a channel with a low subscriber count. We want to hide it.

Let’s sign in to the channel account on Youtube and go to YouTube Studio.
