When you download and install VLC Media Player, the interface language is English.
If English isn’t your native language, you may wonder whether VLC is available in other languages.
Maybe there’s another player in a preferred language you can download. No, there isn’t.
But the good news is you can change the interface language to a preferred one by a few clicks of the mouse.
Here are the steps on how to do it.
Make sure you have VLC Media Player Open
Step 1 – Go to Preferences
Go to the Tools menu and select Preferences
Step 2 – Browse Supported Languages
Under Menus language, click the dropdown arrow to see the languages VLC Media Player supports.
Step 3 – Select Preferred Language
Select your preferred language from the list and hit the Save button.
Step 4 – Close VLC Media Player
Even after hitting the Save button, the interface language doesn’t change.
