This post will show you how Bluetooth speakers work with a computer.
If you like listening to music from your computer through a pair of speakers, you may wonder how to do so through Bluetooth.
Bluetooth speakers allow you to listen to your favourite music on your computer in a different spot or room.
Connecting a pair of wired speakers is easy. You use a 3.5mm audio out port on your computer to connect to your speakers. If you have a pair of USB speakers, you can just plug the speakers into a spare USB port.
Things are not that easy or straightforward with a pair of Bluetooth speakers.
You don’t have a port to plug your speakers. So, you would have to establish a wireless connection.
Here are the steps to get your Bluetooth speakers to work with your computer.
Before You Connect Your Bluetooth Speakers
Before connecting the Bluetooth speakers to your computer, here are some things to know and prepare.
- Make sure your Bluetooth device is turned on.
- Make sure it’s not connected to another device.
- Make sure your speakers are within the range of your computer.
Step 1- Go to Settings on Your Computer
Click on the Windows icon on the bottom left. Then, choose Settings.
Step 2 – Select Devices
From the Settings menu, choose Devices.
Step 4 – Add Bluetooth Device
Click on + Add Bluetooth or other device.
Step 5 – Select Bluetooth
From the Add a device options, choose Bluetooth.
Step 6 – Connect Your Bluetooth Device
Select your Bluetooth device from the list. Your speakers should pair with your computer.
Bluetooth Speakers Don’t Work with Computer?
The above steps should allow you to connect your Bluetooth speakers to your computer successfully.
However, there will be instances when pairing fails.
If so, try the following quick fixes.
- Turn your speakers off and then on.
- Restart your computer.
- If you’ve previously connected your speakers to your computer, unpair it and try pairing it again.
Any of the above fixes should make your Bluetooth speakers work with your computer.
Go ahead and give the steps a try.
