Your HDTV would come with HDMI ports. So, you would make a connection through your phone to the HDMI port.

If you don’t fancy adding to the already tangled mass of cables in your living room, then go wireless.

The thing is you would have to buy some additional accessories.

You can use the streaming devices Roku Streaming Stick or  Google Chromecast which plugs into your TV HDMI port.

The idea here is to have your mobile device and your TV connected to the same  WiFi network. Generally, your mobile device with Android 4.4.2 and above should be able to support the wireless streaming of your video content.

How to Connect Your Phone to your TV via DLNA

If you have the latest smartphone and a latest smart HDTV you may want to give the DLNA option a try.

DLNA means Digital Living Network Alliance.

Both your TV and Mobile device must be DLNA-enabled for this to work.

For your phone, you would have to download a DLNA app like LocalCast or BubbleUPnP.

You would need to connect between them with your home Wi-Fi.

With this You do away with wires and third-party streaming devices.
