Video Capture

If you're capturing digital video hook your video camera to the firewire port of your computer. Turn on your video camera and  launch your Magix Movie edit Pro program.

Choose File and you'll see a pull-down menu.

Choose record audio/video - G

A capture source dialog box opens.

In our case here, we shall choose DV capture.

For easy preview on the timeline window and not to tax on system resources, it's advised that you avoid capturing long footage. Also if your computer hangs in the middle of the capture process, you risk losing whatever footage you've captured.
