There are many sites out there which offer free stock video footage.
However, most of them come with restrictions when it comes to commercial use.
Some forbid the usage of their clips for advertsing, brand campaigns and even over YouTube.
Some would need attribution while others would need payment for commercial use.
But then if you look hard enough, there are some sites which offer free stock video for commercial use without any strings attached.
Distill
Distill promises 10 HD videos every 10 days if you subscribe to their site. Clips will be delivered to your email inbox.
Videos are in 1920 x1080 Full HD resolution. You may want to convert them to 720p if you have an older computer that can’t handle 1080p video.
Among the categories of free stock video for commercial use available are nature, city, food, people, and even architecture.
You can download these videos directly from their site.
Dareful
If 4K video is what you need for your project, then Dareful is the site you should look at.
You can use the videos here for commecial purposes. However, you would have to abide by the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0.
Among others, the license requires you to give credit to the creator, link to the CC BY 4.0 license and specify if any change has been made to the video.
Video resolution is 3840×2160 at 30fps. A 16-second video takes up space of up to 210MB.
Again you may want to downscale it to 720p if you’re working on a project that doesn’t require video quality.
Just head to Vimeo where the video is hosted, hit the download button and choose the video resolution you want.
The 45 free videos are predominatly landscapes and cityscapes though. They may come useful for your intro section of your video or if you’re making a slideshow involving quotes.
Vidsplay
All footages are completely free for commercial projects. However, you must offer credit to Vidsplay in a description as in YouTube or on the end credits of your video.

Downloads of free stock video for commercial use are available directly from the site. If you’re downloading through your smartphone you just have to press and hold a clip to download it.

At Coverr all videos are available to be used freely for comercial projects. No credit or attribution is needed, though appreciated.
Footages range from tech, aerial, artsy, food, urban and animals.
There are a few animated clips as well which you may find useful for a video presentation.
Here’s a notable feature. Some videos are available in the green screen mode.
For example, there’s a clip of a woman typing on a laptop computer. The laptop screen is green so that you can add whatever video you want into it.
This would be ideal if you want your brand name and message to appear on the laptop screen.

Over at Splitshire you can use the video clips for commercial use without the need for permission.
You can use them for your website, advertising materials and even as a part of a template to sell.
You can’t sell them as they are. You can’t upload them to third-party stock websites.
You’re also forbidden to use them in works that promote violence, racism and sensitive issues like religion and sexuality.
You can find food, landscape. automotive, and even drone footages.
It’s a clean site which makes navigation a little challenging. There are no category menus. There’s no search feature, either. You’d have to browse through the videos, one by one, to spot any that would suit your needs.
The other thing is you can’t download the videos from the Splitshire site. You would have to head to YouTube and download the videos from there.
