Extracting Audio From a VCD

You'll need VCDCutter to extract audio from a VCD.

These are the steps:-

1) Insert your VCD in your CD_ROM drive. Run VCDCutter.

2) Choose the Tools pull-down menu.

3) Choose VCD Convert DAT to MP3 etc

What this feature will do is separate the audio and the video track

Browse and locate the MPEGAV folder in the VCD

Double click on the MPEGAV folder. You'll see the AVSEQ files. Choose the track you want to extract the audio from.

You can also set your destination path where you would like to save the audio.

Under File type to save
Choose MP3

MPEG is for the video and audio tracks combined.

M1V is for the video track only

Press Convert Now

The mp3 file will be saved in your destination directory.

You can then rename the file (Div000.MP3) and burn it to disc or play it in your MP3 player.

Alternatively, you could also convert it to a wav file through the

use of a audio converter and burn it as an audio CD.
